🌱 Shots Fired, House Fire In EBR + Baton Rouge Symphony Returns

Here are the top three stories in Baton Rouge today:

1. The East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office is investigating a wild string of events that took place on Sunday night. Deputies responded to a call for shots fired at a home near Gardere Lane; when they arrived, additional shots were fired and one unit was hit. The suspect came out of the home at some point, throwing something under the carport that caused the home to catch fire. (WGNO New Orleans)
2. After being displaced for the past three years, the Baton Rouge Symphony Orchestra will finally return to the River Center Theatre. The nearly-50 musicians have performed at various locations while their home theatre closed for renovations. BRSO was originally scheduled to perform in the updated River Center space on Jan. 27, but this show was moved; they hope to return home for their Feb. 12 performance. (225 Baton Rouge)
3. If you’re looking to get your COVID-19 booster shot, you’re in luck: the East Baton Rouge Parish Library will be hosting a booster event tomorrow, Jan. 26. Both the Pfizer and Moderna shots will be available. Organizers ask participants to bring identification, insurance, and their vaccine cards. (BRProud.com)
